UniLux is a compact, robust and portable miniature fluorometer. Highly sensitive and cost effective, it is designed to monitor and measure algae, cyanobacteria, fluorescent dyes and turbidity – including small changes at very low concentrations.
UniLux is depth-rated to 2000m in fresh and salt water and has application across the blue economy and ocean science space. Time and cost savings are achieved through plug and play integration with incumbent systems and platforms, including Conductivity, Temperature, and Depth (CTD) tools, data buoys, monitoring stations, surface vehicles, Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV).
UniLux uses single fluorescence excitation and emission wavelengths to detect and quantify chlorophyll-a (algae pigment), phycoerythrin and phycocyanin (cyanobacteria pigments), or turbidity. Data output can be accessed through existing platforms or via Sensor Monitor software.
Accessible and accurate biological assessment of marine and freshwater environments is essential across multiple sectors, not least ocean science, water treatment and the wider blue economy. UniLux also has application for public bodies and those responsible monitoring, control and prevention of Harmful Algal Blooms (HAB).
Ease of integration into existing platforms and systems.
Titanium housing. Measures just 26.5mm diameter and 140mm length.
Low limit of detection. Small changes detected in low concentration levels.
Accurate results. Easy maintenance to ensure long term data reliability.
